1981

Aldaniti won the Grand National with Bob Champion. Bucks Fizz won the Eurovision Song Contest. Mum isn’t feeling very well, she went to bed.

1982

Went to a market with mum and dad in the morning and I bought a nice dress. We went to Pam’s housefor tea, Sally, Alan, Kelly, Cassie and Abbie were there. HMS Invincible left to go to the Falklands. May declare war. Tidied my bedroom.

1983

Went down the RVH with mum and dad and Bruce, went to an Easter Fayre there. There were four Iraqs down there. Went back down later and met Steve and Dave.

1984

Work was okay. Margaret had a meeting with Inspector Annette, she told us after that he has cancer. Solo was too long, so have had to cut it down.

1985

Crown Court Police Unit moved into the offices next to us, Eileen and two more colleagues. She’s funny. Met Phil after work and we had a KFC, he has left the Southampton Park Hotel.
