Diary of a 17 year old girl to a 21 year old married woman…

March 2nd

I took my RSA Stage 2 in typing today at school. It was pretty hard, but only a few of us were chosen to do it. Mum was pleased as it meant that her taking me to typing classes when I was younger paid off. Watched Fawlty Towers, it was v. funny. Sally and Alan decided that they had to take their cat ,Smokie, back to the RSPCA as he brought a pigeon into their house which wasn’t quite dead, there was a lot of blood splattered around their kitchen!

Iconic British comedy show about a hotel in Torquay, which is run by several colourful characters. There was only two series made with six episodes in each.

Was told off again at work today, something about a note on a piece of post which I didn’t see, I still think it fell off before it got to me! Even though I earn money at work, sometimes I wish I went to college with my old school friends, I haven’t seen some of them in ages. The people I work with are older than me and I feel young and stupid a lot of the time!

1983

Saw Phil Lynott from Thin Lizzy walking past the office today, he’s performing at The Gaumont tonight. George said that Kids From Fame are coming soon!!!! I so need to get tickets for this!!! I LOVE DANNY! Frank phoned mum to say that he might be moving back to Netley! That would be so great, I would get to see my niece and nephews more.

Had cross modular in college today, went to Burger King and lunchtime with Chris and Jackie from the course, they asked me if I wanted to go to Top Rank with them next week. Put a face pack on.

The Top Rank was an entertainment venue where they played live music and had a resident DJ.

Phil and I went to view a flat in West End, it was £21,500, it was okay, but we both thought it was a bit too far out for travelling to work. We went to Petters Club in the evening and I stayed the night at his house.
