May 4th
1981
Spent all day at Sally’s, we went over to Alan’s mum and dad (strange people.) Took Kelly to the shops. It rained for a lot of the day.
1982
Back to work today. Sharon is learning warrants. Went to typing which was okay. Mr. Martin came round to see us. Bev back at work.
1983
Not much work today. Stayed in dinnertime. Helen had her hair lightened, looks really nice.
1984
Had an interview at college, only lasted about five minutes. Dave from HFC phoned, letter in post.
1985
Went over town and we bought a gas cooker. Trying to sort out flowers, which are really expensive. Norway won the Eurovision Song Contest.
